Despite the difficulty of two time zones and nearly two thousand miles, Mr. Livingston was always fast to reply to emails and was very thorough regarding the paperwork we needed to sign and notarize. Everything from initial consultation, to listing, to closing was fast, friendly, and professional.

John did a very thorough job with explaining the complicated process of home ownership with us over the course of purchasing a home. He directed is to the proper resources when needed and worked for us whenever we needed him. John helped my daughter and I find a house for her to live in while she goes to school at ISU. John listened to both of our ideas and he was able to find many properties that would work, but he also shared information regarding the neighborhood, public transportation, and he kept re-sale in mind as well, knowing that we would not own this house for twenty years. He was able to gives us the names of many electricians, plumbers and insurance agents in the Ames area and we chose the one we wanted to work with. I am hoping this rental unit goes so well that we can purchase a second one some day. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to walk us through the process in such an open and honest way. I wouldn't buy a home from anyone else...John was amazing!

John actually helped us sell our house, buy our new house, and worked with the buyers of our previous house. We had contacted a different realtor prior to John and were not as happy with the level of responsiveness and availability or excitement. John listened to us and gave us great advice. The previous realtor had also given us CMAs that were much lower than we had hoped and John encouraged us to go with what we thought was a fair price (about $18K higher). We ended up getting TWO offers well above asking (5 days after the first showing) and we may not have gotten so much money if we had gone with the original realtor. John also worked with the buyers of our old house so our final offer was tailored exactly to our needs (and well beyond our expectations)! Even though John was working with the buyers of our house and us at the same time, we always felt he was on our side and had our best interests in mind. Highly recommend John - such a wonderful experience!
